A short walk from the beach on Byron Street, this studio offers yoga classes in a town where wellness options can feel interchangeable. Without review data to draw from, it's hard to say what separates a session here from the dozen other studios in the Bay. What the location does offer is proximity to the centre of town, which makes it a practical choice before or after a morning at the beach. Byron Bay's yoga scene skews toward the experienced and the earnest, so newcomers should expect classes pitched at a reasonably committed level. Worth calling ahead to confirm the current timetable and class styles before showing up mat in hand. A solid option for travellers wanting to keep a practice going while in town.
Loved our first Hathasya yoga session with Amanda on holiday in Byron. Perfect activity for couples and beginner friendly. Amanda was a lovely instructor. Tranquil studio will come again
Excellent! I was travelling through Byron and after reading the reviews decided to give this studio a try. Erin was very professional and had a calming approach to our Vinyasa, she offered the option of coaching (if wanted) through simply turning your card to red/green which was a welcome approach. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone considering trying it out.
I would definitely recommend Kirsty’s Hatha Vinyasa class! It was my first time at the Byron yoga studio - Kirsty is super welcoming and held a safe space to connect within and deepen my practice, providing hands on adjustments. The studio space is beautiful too! I will definitely be back… Thank you ✨

Byron Bay
A day spa on Brigantine Street that leans toward the therapeutic rather than the decorative. Far enough from the tourist strip to feel like a proper retreat, close enough to make it practical. Book ahead and go in with intention.
September to November is Byron Bay at its most functional: whale pods still moving through the headland, hinterland trails in their best condition after winter rain, and accommodation priced below the Christmas cliff. Here is what to do, where to stay, and why spring is the window most visitors overlook.
Byron Bay's sound healing and meditation scene predates the wellness trend cycle by decades. From residential retreats in hinterland rainforest to day spas built for stillness, here is what to book, what to expect as a first-timer, and why autumn is the best time to do any of it.
Byron Bay in winter is the version locals prefer. Whale migrations off the headland, hinterland day trips in cool clear air, wellness retreats you can actually get into, and accommodation prices that reflect the season. June through August is not the off-season. It is the right season.
Byron Bay in autumn is the right time for a genuine wellness week: fewer crowds, better light, and a hinterland cool enough to make morning yoga worth getting up for. This seven-day itinerary structures the week around how the body actually resets, from ocean kayaking and hinterland spa days to a dawn balloon flight over the Tweed Valley. Real days, real recommendations, real order.
Byron Bay has more wellness listings than most towns have cafes. The hard part is finding the right one before your weekend is half over. This guide cuts through the field to find the best day spas and massage options in Byron, from hinterland luxury to central studios that fit around a beach day. With booking lead times, price reality, and honest calls on what to skip.
I’ve been going to Byron Yoga Studio for a month and tried classes with lots of different teachers. Each one has their own style and energy, and it made me really happy. I love seeing people’s passion — it’s inspiring. Anwen’s classes are just beautiful. Her chanting, gentle hands-on assists, and the music she plays create such a peaceful vibe. She also gives you a card to read at the end — a little moment I always look forward to. Georgie brings such bright energy. I always feel lighter after her class. She’s super welcoming and always shows the poses clearly, which helps a lot. Kakusandha’s style is really unique. He gives great hands-on tips when you’re ready to try something more challenging. And the music at the start — so mystical and calming. Erin’s classes feel strong and focused. She has amazing alignment and is great to follow. You can really feel her power. Lina had such a bright energy and welcomed us warmly. The class started with a focus on calm breathing and a soothing voice, and I really enjoyed how it included a lot of balance and inversion poses. Abbi’s classes are warm and flowy. I loved going in the early morning — soft peppermint scent in the room, her calming voice… It just helps you stay present. John’s classes are fun and relaxed. He asks what you like and helps you work on it. Super encouraging and kind. All the other teachers’ classes were amazing too — I really felt so lucky to practice here.
I did 3 classes in the tt 3h30 with the students. It was fun to see new teachers at their beginning, learning. It was a reminder that we are always learning and to open ourselves to others. Gave me pleasure to meet enthusiastic people. Bravo. Loved it. Thanks.
