The lights are on at midnight when almost nothing else is open between Byron and the Gold Coast, and that counts for a lot on a long drive. Ampol Foodary Chinderah sits at the junction of Tweed Valley Way and the Pacific Highway, functioning as a fuel stop, convenience store, and Boost Juice outpost for travellers pushing through at odd hours. The food court setup is straightforward: grab-and-go snacks, hot drinks when the machines are running, and a Boost counter with reliable staff. Reviews are mixed enough to set expectations honestly. Toilets have been a recurring issue during peak periods and late nights. When it's working as it should, staff are genuinely helpful and the space is clean. Come in with road-trip standards, not cafe standards, and it delivers.
Service centre is advertised as 24Hrs- Well don’t be fooled, the toilets are closed ( for repairs they say but as it’s 2300 -HIGHLY unlikely) we were sent to the truckers lounge where there was a line up and no soap . What’s the point in working if you don’t want to do your job properly .
Hi , just want to say a huge thanks for you guys and a guy who works last Sunday night till 6 am . You are doing a great and fantastic jobs on the customer service . We stuck on the storm back then and the guy helped us get out of the weather . Make sure we are comfortable and warm .
“No coffees at the moment sorry” - wow Ampol, the only place open here at 1:20am, and no coffee to assist drivers who’ve stopped here as a break from a long drive and specifically for coffee to continue on. Will be making a point to stop at BP SERVICE centres for coffee when on long drives from now on.

Robina
Waterside pub on the Robina lake with a terrace, cold taps, and a menu wide enough for any group. The portions are solid, the setting does the heavy lifting, and Tuesday quiz nights have built a loyal local crowd.

Currumbin Valley
Tortoises in the creek, coffee trees at the entrance, and a plant-forward menu sourced from local organic growers. The Earth Buckwheat Wrap is the thing to order. Sit outside, watch the water, and let the valley do its work.

Robina
No toilets open/working during peak travel over new years is pretty ordinary. Families with little kids had nowhere to take them. Foodcourt toilets should have been opened.
Excellent service...food area all very clean, great hot coffee. Lots of smiles from staff at Boost. Toilets very clean. I don't know why some previous posts are negative 😕
Thirty-plus food options across two levels inside Robina Town Centre, from Japanese at Saiko to the OG salmon bowl at Fishbowl. It's a food court in footprint, a proper dining precinct in execution. Relaxed, clean, and genuinely varied.
