The chicken karaage croissant is the kind of thing that makes you order a second round even when you're already full. Bam Bam Bakehouse runs on that logic: flaky, buttery pastry as the foundation, then an eclectic all-day brunch menu that swings from açai bowls to green tea noodles to spicy karaage banh mi without missing a step. The baked goods are the real draw. The chocolate almond croissant and strawberry tart get repeated mentions, and the croissants themselves are legitimately good. Single O coffee on the machine. The room is bright and leafy, the outdoor seating is baby-friendly, and on a Saturday morning you can sometimes walk straight in. Service is warm and attentive on most visits. Go for the pastries first, stay for whatever's on the menu that surprises you.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best cafes we tried on our Queensland road trip from Sydney! I had an amazing açai bowl — didn’t even get the chance to take a pic before I demolished it. The decor was great, and the service was even better. Someone came out to give us menus and check if it was our first time there, even though we were sitting outside — such a nice touch! Hubby had the chicken karaage croissant and said it was incredible. We even ordered a nasi goreng after (even though we were already full) because everything was that good. Very baby-friendly too, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend BAM BAM Bakehouse — definitely worth a stop! 👏☕🍳
Delicious food, amazing coffee and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait for a table on a Saturday morning, which was cool! Definitely coming back next time we're riding our bikes down here! We had the bacon and egg croissant and the custard jam croissant! Yummo! 🤤🫠 Highly recommended.

Burleigh Heads
Southern Californian-inspired cafe on the Gold Coast Highway with a strong aesthetic, solid chicken burger, and a dog-friendly policy that extends to snacks for the four-legged. The vibe is the draw, the food backs it up, and there's undercover parking below if you know to look for it.

Currumbin Valley
Tortoises in the creek, coffee trees at the entrance, and a plant-forward menu sourced from local organic growers. The Earth Buckwheat Wrap is the thing to order. Sit outside, watch the water, and let the valley do its work.

We visited Bambam Bakehouse and had the spicy karaage banh mi, which was genuinely very good. The baked goods are a real strength here. We tried the chocolate almond croissant and also bought a cookie to take away, and both were excellent. Unfortunately, the coffee and service let the experience down. We ordered an iced latte and a large filter coffee. The food arrived, but the coffees were delayed and we had to approach staff to ask if they were coming. There was no apology or acknowledgment. When the filter coffee arrived, it was spilled, and again there was no apology or effort to clean it up. The iced latte was very bitter, and while some bitterness is expected depending on the coffee, this tasted over extracted. I also noticed coffee grounds or fines sitting at the bottom of my filter coffee, which was quite surprising for a filtered brew. I genuinely want this place to do well because the baked goods and food are strong, but improvements in coffee quality and front of house service would make a big difference to the overall experience.
Lovely place to visit during the day — bright, cozy, and relaxed vibe. The croissant sandwich was buttery and crispy with rich cheese; the fried chicken roll had a perfect crunch without being greasy, and the strawberry tart was fresh and smooth. Everything looked beautiful and tasted balanced. One of the best brunch spots on the Gold Coast for both food and atmosphere.
Always super excited to try a new bakery especially those with a wide range of sweet pastry treats but I was quite surprised because at this bakehouse--a main dish got me all giddy. Green tea noodles! I also want to say thank you to the friendly staff. All in all, food was scrumptious. I will definitely be coming back the next time I stay in Gold Coast.
Palm Beach
Beachfront dining at Palm Beach with views straight over Tallebudgera and service that regulars keep coming back for. The seafood platter is the order, the chilli prawn pasta is the dark horse, and the recent renovation has made the whole room worth the trip.
