Parisian-inspired brunch in the Byron Arts & Industry Estate. Dip's all-day menu leans into diverse egg dishes and a hollandaise made fresh daily. The fit-out is chic without being cold — think terrazzo, blonde wood, and natural light. One of the few Byron cafes that feels genuinely designed.
Such a cool a place! Everyone working here is absolutely amazing. Special mention to Ilona, a sunshine. The team is incredibly kind, and the French crew seems m dynamic, a place that makes you want to come back again and again
We had breakfast at this cafe and it was fantastic. The coffee was strong and really good, the staff were lovely, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely a place we’d recommend.
Dip into Dip if you fancy some French inspired breakfast, brunch or lunch. It was a recommendation from a friend whose kids go to school together locally. Was not disappointed!! It was a wet cold morning so not busy. French jazz in the background. Lovely serving staff made to feel welcome. Coffee is great. Scrambled Eggs were cooked to perfection. Halloumi was perfect with a squeeze of lemon and a dash of cracked black pepper. Smoked salmon was a perfect accompaniment. Over all great treat for a table of one. There was a table of 4 sitting over from me full of wows and delightful noises when their breakfast was served as well. Well done team. Great solo dining experience.
Lots of options on the menu with eggs for breakfast that look delicious, never sen more than one version of eggs Benedict on the menu - enters Dip! Pancakes were fluffy and the portion quite generous
This French deco inspired cafe is just fabulous firstly loved the deco secondly the service was very friendly and attentive and lastly the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the brushetta with crispy bacon on the side we also ordered from the specials board. Give this cafe a go when visiting Byron Bay !

Byron Bay
Corner of Jonson Street, Folk is the kind of all-day café that earns its place through good bones rather than spectacle. Warm timbers, honest café fare, mid-range pricing, and a front-row seat to Byron's main strip.

Wategos Beach
Directly above the sand at Wategos Beach, Raes Dining Room is Byron's most location-loaded fine dining address. Mediterranean-leaning seafood, full-occasion pricing, and a room that makes the most of one of the coast's prettiest coves. Book the terrace.

Byron Bay
Tucked into Jonson Lane, away from the main-street circus, Bang Bang keeps things casual and affordable. The kind of spot that rewards locals who know their way around the back streets of Byron.

Byron Bay
On Bangalow Road, a few kilometres from the town centre, The Roadhouse keeps things casual and unpretentious. Mid-range pricing, a local-leaning crowd, and a relaxed pace that feels a long way from the Main Beach queue.
Byron Bay is a better place with a dog in tow. Belongil Beach for off-leash mornings, the Cape Byron headland track on a lead, and a string of outdoor cafes that will not flinch at a dog under the table. Here is the practical guide to doing it properly, from where to stay to which beaches actually let you off the lead.
Byron Bay in autumn is the right time for a genuine wellness week: fewer crowds, better light, and a hinterland cool enough to make morning yoga worth getting up for. This seven-day itinerary structures the week around how the body actually resets, from ocean kayaking and hinterland spa days to a dawn balloon flight over the Tweed Valley. Real days, real recommendations, real order.
Byron will eat your budget alive if you let it. But the bones of a genuinely cheap trip are still here. The lighthouse walk is free and worth waking up for. The tacos on Byron Street are the most honest meal in town. Here is what to do, where to eat, and what to skip entirely.
