Social Remedy
Byron Bay · Wellness & Spa
(309 reviews)
Tucked into the Banksia Drive business precinct, Social Remedy takes a clinical-meets-considered approach to wellness, the kind of place that treats recovery and restoration as seriously as the more indulgent end of the spa spectrum. Without a public review trail to draw from, what's clear from their positioning is a focus on remedial outcomes rather than ambient fluff. This isn't a candles-and-cucumber-water situation. Expect treatments oriented around results, whether that's muscular, skin-based, or something more integrative. The location, away from the Jonson Street bustle, keeps things quiet and unhurried. Pricing details aren't publicly listed, so worth calling ahead to confirm what's on offer and what suits your budget. A sensible first stop if you want wellness that earns its keep.

What People Say
Possibly the best wellness and recovery centre in Australia. I had a workout, did a cryotherapy session, had saunas and ice baths and then a massage. Was the perfect day in the perfect facility. The team are so helpful and friendly and the owner is an awesome guy. Highly recommend and going back again tomorrow and every time I’m here in Byron.
Fantastic experience. Signed up for a week pass. Had an amazing week. They have great machines. And a great spa. Great price too.
Great gym. Went for a casual visit ($25) - has a huge array of modern weightlifting equipment and pin machines, everything you’d need for a good workout, plus added extras like massage guns and rollers etc.
I'm very picky when it comes to gyms but SR didn't fail to live up to the expectations. It is very spacious high ceiling and big fans to cool you down. They have a large selection of machines (belt squat is huge plus) so majority of people won't miss anything. Didn't try the recover facilities but they seemed good too. Would definitely come back.
Great gym overall. It has a nice vibe, aesthetic and layout. The equipment is brilliant and has everything you need from a deadlift platform to an area to do more functional training. They also offer group classes and have on site recovery facilities.
