The Yard Gym Byron Bay
Byron Bay · Wellness & Spa
(40 reviews)
An open-air training space tucked into Porter Street, The Yard Gym takes its cue from the kind of outdoor fitness culture Byron has always done quietly well. The setup suits people who find four walls and fluorescent lighting counterproductive. Expect functional training, weights, and the kind of programming that works whether you're a local keeping a routine or a visitor trying to sweat out a festival weekend. No reviews to draw from yet, so the honest read is this: the location and format fit the neighbourhood, and Byron's fitness crowd tends to be consistent. Worth a look if your usual gym is a flight away.

What People Say
Love this place! I’ve tried a few gyms in the area and this is my fav. Perfect for beginners and advanced gym goers who enjoy high energy and fast paced group classes. The trainers are really motivating and knowledgeable as well. I always leave feeling like I got a proper workout.
Wow, what a personal and professional experience at the yard. When you arrive the first time, you receive a warm welcome and they ask you about your training history, injuries etc. The coaches create a nice atmosphere and make an effort to remember your name thoughout the session. I was there for just one free week, didn’t even post any money into the business, but still I was met with such a good energy from the crew. They deserve a big shoutout, keep it up!
Introduction messages and greeting from Bianca was first class. The gym is sparkling and the equipment is first rate. The trainers are enthusiastic, motivating and offer great advice to help improve your workout. I trained there for a couple of weeks whilst on holidays and it was fantastic. Completely recommend the format, the facilities and most importantly the great team.
