The nudist beach that Noosa locals keep quietly to themselves. Alexandria Bay sits at the southern end of Noosa National Park, a genuinely secluded stretch of golden sand that rewards the effort it takes to reach it. The Parkedge Road entry from Sunshine Beach is the pick for first-timers: 4.2 kilometres return, around 45 minutes each way, with a proper bush walk through the headland before the coast opens up. The McAnnally Drive route is shorter but the street's residents will make their feelings known. Come at sunrise for the best surf and the easiest parking. No dogs, no shortcuts, no facilities to speak of. Parking at Seaview Terrace is limited to six or eight spaces and fills fast on weekends. Winter weekdays are your best shot at arriving without the scramble.

A great walk in via the Southern NP enterances via Sunshine Beach's local streets of Parkedge Road, McAnnally Drive or Seaview Terrace. Best Vehicle Parking Tips..... Tip ONE ....For a longer walk enter via Parkedge Rd for a 4.2 km return with a leisurely walk taking 45 minutes to 1 hour EACH way. Best for a longer more bush walk experience. Tip TWO.....For the most direct shorter route of 1-1.5 km return journey go via McAnnally Drive but be warned as the local residents do not take to kindly to randoms entering via their street which I cannot blame them. Hence you'd be better off parking at.... Tip THREE > End of Seaview Terrace (IF you can find a spot) as the stairs to the beach are at the end of Seaview Tce. You'd be better off parking near the corner of McAnnally & Seaview then walk to the stairs down to the beach. IF you opt for this beach enterance option best come back via the bush walk to McAnnally Drive to avoid the steep incline up the stairs particularly after a fairly long walk. Last Vehicle Parking Tip ..... There is a public carpark near / opposite Surfside Court at bottom of Seaview Tce HOWEVER....only 6-8 car spaces are available and hard to find one free outside of early morning / late afternoon weekdays as beach goers use this 24 / 7. If you are visiting the cooler months of winter (June - August) you'd be more lucky. Weekends are almost impossible. Hope this helps future visitors to Alexandria Bay particularly when entering via the Southern enterance of the Headland to explore the area. Enjoy! And don't forget to 'Slip, slop, Slap (Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat) In the Sun this Summer say?!? SLIP, SLOP, SLAP! (Any Aussie born prior to 1995-2000 will know that popular TV advert well) P.S. Particularly 'SLOP' if you plan to go Full Monte as Alex Bay has & always will be known for Naturalists.

Peregian Beach
A five-kilometre beach walk to Stumers Creek starts here, with on-lead dogs to the left and off-lead to the right. The park itself is beside the point. Sunrise from the sand is the real reason locals set an early alarm.

Tinbeerwah QLD
Fifteen minutes of walking earns you a full sweep from the Glass House Mountains to the coast. The track is mostly paved, the views hold even on overcast days, and the flowering bushes smell like warm honey on the way up. Go at sunset.

Noosa Heads QLD
Beautiful peaceful beach away from the madding crowds of Noosa. Easiest access 20m walk from the top of McAnally Drive, but not much parking, so go early around sunrise for a favourite surfing spot.
This beach is well worth the walk… stunning at sunrise too! There are a few options for getting there, each is beautiful and each have a fair few stairs too… there’s quite a long steep staircase coming in from Sunshine beach! For easy parking and walking, the Parkedge Street entry is best (that I’ve seen anyway!) There’s an emergency phone and defib machines along the way too, so it’s great for safety if needed.
About 20 minutes' walk from the main sign to the National Park from Sunshine beach, with the start of the walk including lots of steps up to the cliff walk. Beautiful walk along, to arrive at the reasonably secluded Alexandria Bay beach. The water was pretty clear when we visited, although lots of jellyfish washing on the beach unfortunately. No dogs allowed on the walk as its within a National Park.
Truly picturesque! Feels like a huge private beach with golden and fine sand. A bit of a walk from Sunrise beach, but scenic walk along the Coast afterwards! If you are looking for a beach yet active activity then this is perfect.
The circular lookout at the top of Viewland Drive frames Noosa Heads, Lake Cooroibah, and the ranges beyond Cooroy in a single sweep. Arrive early for sunset; the small carpark fills fast and the view is worth the margin.
