The granite stones here aren't just a naming quirk. They're the whole point. Smooth, wave-polished boulders ranging from palm-sized pebbles to room-sized slabs line the bay, making it one of the more visually distinct beaches in Noosa National Park. Getting here requires a 15-minute coastal walk from the park entrance, which does most of the crowd-filtering for you. On a quiet day, you might have the whole bay to yourself. Dolphins have been spotted from the rocks, and the view back along the coast is worth the walk alone. Bring a board if the swell is running. The path is sandy and uneven, so it's not accessible for wheelchairs. No facilities, no fanfare. Just rocks, water, and the occasional lucky photo.

This spectacular beach at Noosa National Park is about a 15 minute walk from the entrance to the Park. Most of the beach comprises of round granite stones, which I’m assuming is why the beach is named Granite Bay Beach. I know it’s a stretch but it seems too coincidental otherwise right? Anyway, the beach is nice, it has rocks on it and that’s pretty much all i got 🏖️🪨👍
Amazing spot! The whole bay is covered by granites from small pebbles to massive rocks. Most of them are very polished and smooth. Some dolphins visible at the time of our visit.
I concluded that the Sunshine Coast Local Council in the last 7 years has not increased the disabled parkings neara anyBeach Lane access. Besides sandy walkways are impossible for any wheelchair electric or not. But I pay $3000 in rates for 7 years $21,000 for zero improvement or services to my property living alone at 88, zero assitance.

A glow room, shadow puppets, and a rotating program of contemporary art that takes itself seriously without losing the kids. Noosa Regional Gallery punches above its size, especially during NAIDOC weekends when Kabi Kabi cultural experiences come to the forecourt.

A solid MTB network out in Tentin with trails for all levels and terrain that holds up in most conditions. Weekdays are reliably quiet. The signage is patchy, so download a trail map before you go. No bins, no toilets — pack everything in, pack everything out.

By far one of my favourite photos taken on my travels around Aus was this one here, definitely worth the coastal walk just for this view, take a board with you to enjoy it more up close 😉
Oh what a lovely quiet spot , I had the whole beach to myself.

The coastal track from Noosa Heads to Boiling Pot Lookout is one of Queensland's best half-day walks, full stop. Turquoise coves, rugged cliffs, wallabies on the path. Arrive early or take the bus from Noosa Junction — parking is the only thing that'll test you.
