Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park
Suffolk Park · Accommodation
(370 reviews)
Suffolk Park sits at the quieter end of the Byron bubble, and this beachfront park puts you closer to Tallow Beach than most accommodation in the area at anything near this price point. The park offers a range of stay options, from powered sites through to self-contained cabins, making it a practical base for families and longer-stay visitors who want direct beach access without the Jonson Street price tag. The surrounding neighbourhood is genuinely local, with the Suffolk Park Tavern a short walk away and none of the main-street tourist churn. Without a significant body of reviews to draw from, it's hard to call the specifics of condition or service, so booking direct and asking about cabin configurations is worth the call. For beach proximity at this end of Byron, the value proposition is real.

What People Say
We had an amazing stay at Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park. Our spot was perfect, with fresh water, grey water drainage, and power. The campground is small, which makes it peaceful and really pleasant. Best of all, you can reach the beach in less than a minute. Everything was well maintained, and the service was friendly and helpful. We couldn’t find anything to complain about – everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
Location was perfect!! Directly at the beach and so close to the bakery and shops. Only negative was the wifi literally didnt work as the mbps was entirely too slow for me to have a video work meeting. I 100% suggest they upgrade their internet as mbps was at or below 10 mbps entire stay
What a lovely setting for a caravan park. We are not 'caravanners' so hired 'glamping tent' complete with fans and air conditioning. Had everything and more that we needed for our 3 night stay. Very clean and privacy was good. Easy access to the beach.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park! The location is unbeatable - tucked between the bush and the beach with direct access to the sand. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to a sunrise walk on the beach felt like pure paradise. What really made our trip, though, was the service. A huge thank you to Craig, who went above and beyond to fit us in at the very last minute. He was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. It made such a difference to be greeted with that level of kindness and care when we were in a bit of a scramble to find somewhere to stay. The park itself is great, beautifully maintained, and has a relaxed, intimate vibe. The facilities are clean and well set up, the sites are spacious and shaded, and it’s the perfect base to explore Byron Bay while still enjoying peace and quiet away from the crowds. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and will absolutely be back. Thank you Craig and the Suffolk Beachfront team for turning our last-minute plans into a truly memorable holiday!
Extremely disappointing experience at Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park. The amenities were in terrible condition — showers had visible mould, toilets were dirty, and the general hygiene throughout the facilities was unacceptable. Campsites were poorly maintained with uneven ground and overgrown areas, making setup difficult and uncomfortable. What made it worse was the attitude of the staff — they were unhelpful and seemed completely indifferent to guest concerns or the condition of the park. It’s clear that maintenance and customer service are not a priority here. Would strongly recommend avoiding this park until major improvements are made. There are plenty of other options nearby that actually care about cleanliness and their guests’ experience.

Raes on Wategos
Wategos Beach
The only property sitting directly on Wategos Beach, Raes trades on position and a long-running restaurant reputation. Mediterranean in feel, small in scale, and priced accordingly. If you're going to spend up in Byron, the address alone makes a reasonable argument.

Elements of Byron
Byron Bay
Forty-five acres of coastal wetland, freestanding villas pointed at the trees, and private beach access. Elements sits deliberately apart from Byron's centre. The distance from the main strip isn't a drawback; it's the whole idea.

Broken Head Holiday Park
Broken Head
Between Broken Head Nature Reserve and one of the region's quietest surf beaches, this holiday park trades Byron's main drag for banksia scrub and rock pools. Powered sites, unpowered sites, and cabin options. The kind of place regulars rebook before they've even packed up.

YHA Byron Bay
Byron Bay
Budget-friendly and well-located on Carlyle Street, YHA Byron Bay puts you close to the town centre and the beach without the full Byron price tag. Dorms and private rooms, communal spaces, and the social energy of a well-trafficked hostel.
