The Bower Byron Bay
Byron Bay · Accommodation
(153 reviews)
$$$
A converted residential property on Bangalow Road, sitting just far enough from the town centre to feel like you've exhaled. The Bower pitches itself at the mid-to-upper end of Byron's boutique accommodation market, which means you're paying for space, quiet, and the kind of considered fit-out that doesn't shout for attention. Bangalow Road is a solid location, walkable to town but without the foot traffic of Lawson Street. At this price point, expect well-appointed rooms, likely a garden or outdoor element, and the general sensibility of somewhere that has thought about its linen. No reviews to draw from yet, so the proof will be in the stay. Book direct if you can, and ask about quieter rooms away from the road.

What People Say
We booked The Bower Cottage for our wedding weekend and couldn’t have been happier. The service was fantastic - the team were proactive with communication, even texting us if anything came up, which made everything feel effortless. The cottage itself was even better than the photos, so tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel special. When we arrived, there was a bottle of sparkling and a personalised note waiting for us - such a lovely touch that made the weekend feel even more special. The property is stunning, with a gorgeous pool that our guests loved. Many of our wedding guests also stayed at The Bower and had the same wonderful experience. The location is perfect - just outside of town for peace and privacy, but still an easy walk to everything. We were so sad to leave and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for anyone wanting style, comfort, and exceptional service in Byron Bay. ⭐ 5/5 – Absolutely perfect stay.
Tucked away behind lush greenery, this accommodation with professional staff is unique. The heated Magnesium Pool with the large fluffy white towels great for wellness. The location near The General Store with delicious coffee is convenient. Very quiet ambience.
A wonderful location, great facilities including a heated magnesium pool and fantastic staff. Would definitely recommend staying there. It's also well located next yo the Byron Bay General Store for great food and coffees.
Great location - easy walk to Main Street Byron Free bike hire - 5 min bike ride to beaches 5 star accommodation
Loved our stay at The Bower! Rooms were super clean and spacious. Beautiful pool Really lovely staff and appreciated the brief tour when we checked in. Honestly couldn't fault it. They also had bikes you could borrow for the day which made getting around so easy as the town can be annoying to get around via car. Honestly couldn't fault. Would definitely stay here in the future!

Raes on Wategos
Wategos Beach
The only property sitting directly on Wategos Beach, Raes trades on position and a long-running restaurant reputation. Mediterranean in feel, small in scale, and priced accordingly. If you're going to spend up in Byron, the address alone makes a reasonable argument.

Elements of Byron
Byron Bay
Forty-five acres of coastal wetland, freestanding villas pointed at the trees, and private beach access. Elements sits deliberately apart from Byron's centre. The distance from the main strip isn't a drawback; it's the whole idea.

YHA Cape Byron
Byron Bay
Perched at the top of town with the lighthouse in sight, this YHA property does what the brand does well: affordable beds, shared spaces, and a social mix of travellers using Byron as a base rather than a backdrop.

YHA Byron Bay
Byron Bay
Budget-friendly and well-located on Carlyle Street, YHA Byron Bay puts you close to the town centre and the beach without the full Byron price tag. Dorms and private rooms, communal spaces, and the social energy of a well-trafficked hostel.
