Hosanna Farmstay

The first time we camped which was great, the second time we stayed in a cabin, which was fantastic. It has minimal amenities in the cabin which is what you want from the experience - Lo-tech , low-fi. It’s lovely with wooden floors, very comfortable beds and gorgeous views from the verandah. Everything clean and fresh. The shared kitchen is very well maintained and appointed with plenty of space (we usually had the kitchen to ourselves and this was during a busy time), with a private fridge just for our cabin. Dam is great, love the outdoors and the kids just ran around, it felt very safe and wholesome. It would be so great to have an actual bbq on the other side of the dam at the “BBQ hut” to cook, but that’s all really. The pizzas on Saturday night are delicious too, and we nipped down to Uki for a pub lunch and the farmers market on Saturday. We have kids from 8 to 14 and they had a great time.

Hosana is such a wholesome family holiday. Perfect in so many ways. I just wanted to draw some attention to the environmental concerns I witnessed. The creek campsites are gorgeous, however caravans camping there, have grey water literally running into the creek 🥺 When camping in state and National parks, all washing up etc needs to be 50meters away from rivers and water ways to protects from detergents, toothpastes and other contaminants enerting the system. With so many ammenities availability, collecting grey water and disposing safely in those campsite as well as sharing this knowledge with campers would be so much safer for all the wildlife living in the creek.
