Saturday night pizzas with live music beside the dam is the kind of thing that makes you forget your phone exists. Hosanna Farmstay sits in the Tweed Valley, ten minutes from Murwillumbah, and it runs the full spectrum from basic ridge campsites to low-fi timber cabins with verandah views and wooden floors. The shared kitchen is well-appointed, the beds are genuinely comfortable, and the creek-side sites are as good as they sound. Kids run the place, in the best way: animal feeding, a waterslide, treasure hunts, bunnies to cuddle. Staff get consistent praise across the board. The ridge sites feel cut off from the rest of the property, so if you're camping, push for a creek-side spot. Day passes are also available if a full stay isn't on the cards.

We stayed on the ridge for which was a nice spot. Camp sites are fairly basic and grass was probably a bit long. Toilets in that area could have done with some cob web love albeit the toilets were clean. Staying on the ridge has downsides being so disconnected from the rest of the park and a bit so easy trek to the main location. The activities are great l, especially the waterslide, although open for small windows. It was great to disconnect and recharge for a couple of nights. The quiet hours were disregarded by a large group staying there and the echo to the top of the hill was terrible, would be good if the caretakers did a better job of maintaining this.
We recently camped at Hosanna Farm Stay and had a great experience. Our campsite was right on the creek with lush green grass, plenty of space, and just a short walk to the amenities. There was heaps for the kids to do — animal feeding, the farm tour, bunnies to cuddle, plus swimming in the dam and the water slide. Saturday night pizzas with live music was a great vibe and a perfect way to end the day. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay and we’d definitely come back. Perfect spot for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Currumbin Valley
A Currumbin Valley cafe with country-road ease and city-level coffee. The carrot cake is legendary for its size, the steak sandwich on sourdough earns genuine repeat visits, and the dessert counter will slow you down. Portions are generous, prices are fair, weekends are busy.

Nerang
The Hinkler Drive McDonald's handles a heavy drive-thru load with mixed results. Big Macs and Quarter Pounder meals at the lowest price point in the area. Order through the app, check the bag before you leave, and you'll be fine.

The best camp ground we've been to! Loved the cabin we stayed at, very clean and cozy. It's a dog friendly camping which is not so common these days. The staff (from reception, to hospitality, to maintaince and cleaning, and the lovely guys who monitored the water slide) deserve a special mention, everyone is so friendly and kind, thank you! Kids loved all the activities on offer, it's so well thought out. Treasure hunt, water activities were a hit. Just such a beautiful, wholesome camping experience with great amenitie. Cannot wait to come back already
The first time we camped which was great, the second time we stayed in a cabin, which was fantastic. It has minimal amenities in the cabin which is what you want from the experience - Lo-tech , low-fi. It’s lovely with wooden floors, very comfortable beds and gorgeous views from the verandah. Everything clean and fresh. The shared kitchen is very well maintained and appointed with plenty of space (we usually had the kitchen to ourselves and this was during a busy time), with a private fridge just for our cabin. Dam is great, love the outdoors and the kids just ran around, it felt very safe and wholesome. It would be so great to have an actual bbq on the other side of the dam at the “BBQ hut” to cook, but that’s all really. The pizzas on Saturday night are delicious too, and we nipped down to Uki for a pub lunch and the farmers market on Saturday. We have kids from 8 to 14 and they had a great time.
Hosana is such a wholesome family holiday. Perfect in so many ways. I just wanted to draw some attention to the environmental concerns I witnessed. The creek campsites are gorgeous, however caravans camping there, have grey water literally running into the creek 🥺 When camping in state and National parks, all washing up etc needs to be 50meters away from rivers and water ways to protects from detergents, toothpastes and other contaminants enerting the system. With so many ammenities availability, collecting grey water and disposing safely in those campsite as well as sharing this knowledge with campers would be so much safer for all the wildlife living in the creek. Burleigh Heads
The Moreton Bay bug roll has its own reputation, and the coconut prawn curry with housemade roti backs it up. Right on Burleigh Heads beach, open windows facing the water, Pan-Asian menu with a chef's hat. Sunset bookings go fast for good reason.
