It's Macca's. You know what you're getting, and at 1965 Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads, it delivers exactly that: cheap, fast, and available at midnight when nothing else is open. The drive-through runs late and the app ordering works well enough from the outdoor tables. Reviews are a mixed bag: some report fresh chicken nuggets worth a short wait, others flag portion sizes that underwhelm and cleanliness that falls short of what you'd hope for. The playground area gets a particular mention for dirty tables. That said, the late-night drive-through has its fans, with a few regulars calling out genuinely warm service on the overnight shift. Go in with appropriate expectations, use the app, and you'll be fine.
was sitting outside ordering food through the app, saw a kid leaving his bike undercover so he could keep an eye on it and the manager came out very aggressive and rude to this young kid, who wasn’t rude at all. Claiming that the bike could catch on fire if left there, fair enough if you’ve had or heard of bad experiences with e bikes before and you’re against them, but I think we need more kindness in this world, it would have been just as easy for her to politely ask the kid. Annoyed me so just ended up goin to red rooster next door, cheaper and crispier chicken woohoo
The tables were very dirty both inside the store and especially in the playground area, making it hard to feel comfortable finding somewhere for the family to eat. The food was delicious and cooked fresh though, although they did mark it off as ready as soon as they received the order, then had me wait (thinking it was ready) for awhile at the counter. The wait was worth the fresh chicken nuggets however.

The chicken parmi comes with chips that could feed a small family, the creek-side Deck is the go-to for celebrations, and the staff are genuinely good at their jobs. A Gold Coast RSL that earns its Friday night crowds.

Palm Beach
Pastries made on site daily at Tallebudgera Creek, with Marvell Street coffee and a Biscoff croissant that reviewers can't stop talking about. The chips are genuinely exceptional, the Portuguese tarts go fast, and the salted caramel milkshake is non-negotiable.

Expensive these days let me show you what I got for “medium” fries. 😆 less than half a pack. None have been eaten this is exactly what was in the packet when I opened it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Have you ever been to the horse races? How about the dog races? This Maccas had the unmistakable smell of either or both of these venues. Be thankful that Maps does not have a "smell-o-vision" feature for the photos because this review would reek! As soon as I opened the door leading to the toilet, the powerful smell of old urine hit me in the face. Urine was all over the wall and floor around the urinal and the toilet. The sink was grimy as well. As a former McDonald's employee, I was horrified at the condition of these toilets. My wife said the women's toulet was horrible too. The lobby had trash on the tables, and the bins needed emptying as well. Our food order took ages to be prepared, and it was not exactly what we had ordered, but given how long it took, we couldn't be bothered to raise the issue. I guess there is a ton in this review about the state of the restaurant, but if you went to a place and the toilet was disgusting, would you have a lot of confidence in other aspects of the cleanliness of their business?
If I could give this Maccas 0 stars I would. They are so slow waited 10 mins for a sundae and thick shake. Manager was rude when i asked why the long wait. I tried to ring the store for 2 days but no one ever answers the phone. I guess they get sick of people complaining. Corporate were contacted and received a refund! Will never return to the shambles of a place where staff have no idea what’s going on and the store is so dirty
Duranbah
Two hours by tractor through orchards growing fruits most Australians have never seen, let alone tasted. The guided tastings are the main event, the jackfruit Reuben and Black Sapote cake make a strong case for staying for lunch, and the fruit stall on the way out is dangerously well-stocked.
