The smoker runs from lunch through dinner, and the brisket is the reason most people make the drive up Nerang Murwillumbah Road. Set in the Hinterland above the Gold Coast, The Beechmont Hotel leans hard into its country-pub identity: free live music on weekends, line dancing through the week, and a smokehouse platter big enough to need a takeaway box. The Wednesday rump special draws a midweek crowd, the renovated space handles large groups comfortably, and the vibe is genuinely relaxed. A note on logistics: smoker dishes and bistro meals come out of separate kitchens, so food arrives staggered at the table. For a group of two or four, no issue. For a party of forty, plan accordingly and get the function details confirmed in writing.
We've visited this place twice now. One was last year's summer for a friend's birthday and this month for another friend's birthday. We love the location of this place coz it's a nice drive from where we live. The food here is good. Big servings and delicious food. They also serve cocktails 🍸 I find it too strong for me but it look beautiful. The price is similar in other place. The one I ordered is $18. When we went last, they are doing line dancing! Lots of people joining in. They also have a kid's corner and they have a playground. Lots of parking as well and very easy to drive around to find a spot. I highly recommend this place because I like how spacious it is, it's location and the food they serve.
Pros & cons! Great location & vibe. The staff are super friendly & efficient. The live entertainment & line dancing are fantastic; as is the smokehouse. That’s the pros… Inside, the place has all the cosines of a bleak, bus terminal waiting lounge. Awful lighting, seating & a buffet system order counter. The rest of the menu is freezer to micro… steer well clear of it & stick to the well-done smokehouse options. The desert options are tired & from the freezer… don’t even bother ordering these. It’s a great location & the events are fantastic… as are the staff. However, with the money they’re bringing in, surely the owners could decorate the insides a little & give it more of a country feel / theme… which is obviously the vibe they have going for the rest of the place? In conclusion - stick to the smokehouse options, sit outside & avoid desert.

Currumbin Valley
A Currumbin Valley cafe with country-road ease and city-level coffee. The carrot cake is legendary for its size, the steak sandwich on sourdough earns genuine repeat visits, and the dessert counter will slow you down. Portions are generous, prices are fair, weekends are busy.

Miami
Live music, a rotating lineup of global street food vendors, and a Gin Parlour in Miami on the Gold Coast. The paella gets a mention from almost everyone. Prices stay honest, the vibe stays loose, and the early finish is part of the charm.

Shout out to the awesome team at the Beechmont Hotel, again. We celebrated our son’s 18th Birthday dinner with family last night. As always, the service, the quality of our meals, the atmosphere and ambience was spot on. Live band were fantastic and we were comfortable with adequate heating above. Our son ordered the Tomahawk for his special occasion and it was cooked to perfection! This venue is a winner every time. Thank you so much for the stellar service from all of the staff and the team in the kitchen. See you all again soon. Mel & Tim
We booked a table for 12, none of us were disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and looking forward to enjoying more here in the future. I tried the butter chicken and philly cheese steak and they were both really good and I highly recommend.
Had a lovely lunch listening to live music on Sunday. We had the smoked meats platter for 2 and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and had a big screen view of the World Cup soccer match which was a good experience to see Australia win. Definitely recommend this pub for everyone.
Chinderah
Open around the clock at the Tweed Valley Way junction, this Ampol Foodary is the practical stop between Byron and the Gold Coast. Boost Juice, hot coffee, and convenience store staples. Useful when almost nothing else is.
