The water at Tallebudgera Creek sits almost completely still, sheltered from the surf, making it one of the Gold Coast's best spots for paddleboarding and calm-water swimming. The park itself is well set up: barbecues, picnic shelters, a kids' playground, a boardwalk towards the seawall, and proper amenities including a Changing Places facility. The café nearby draws a crowd, so arrive early if you want coffee without a queue. The real catch here is parking. On weekends, the competition for a spot starts before 6am, and weekdays aren't much easier. Get here early or accept the walk. Once you're in, though, the creek does what it promises: calm water, grassy banks, and the kind of afternoon that doesn't require much planning to pull off well.
This spot is absolutely beautiful 😎 a peaceful beach with gentle waves and a stunning surrounding area. It’s perfect for a relaxed picnic, spending the afternoon with friends, or just enjoying the scenery. The atmosphere is calm, the views are spectacular, and it’s one of those places where you instantly feel at ease. Highly recommended.
Awesome spot to walk, swim or watch the world go by. Great cafe but have to be early for coffee or wait in a line.
Perfect place for paddle boarding, swimming or hiking. But someone really must find a solution for parking chaos. It's unbelievablely competitive even week days. For the weekend, that chaos start around 6:00 AM

Burleigh Heads
Rainbow lorikeets, ocean views to Burleigh Headland, and free barbecues on the foreshore. Justins Park is where Burleigh locals spend their Sundays. The covered picnic shelters go fast, parking is a genuine challenge, and the beach is patrolled all year.

Palm Beach
A long, sheltered inlet on the Gold Coast where dogs run off-leash and the water stays calm enough for a proper swim. Shade, a nearby cafe, and a cut-through to the open ocean. Parking fills fast on weekends; cross the road and walk two minutes.

Beautiful spot for a swim but be prepared to spend a while looking for parking.
It’s such a perfect place that you kids can have fun building sandcastles or playing on the playground. There are also barbecue areas, public toilets, and a café.
Robina
The Gold Coast's first stage of the 257-hectare Greenheart project delivers in-ground trampolines, a fenced adventure playground, and an off-lead dog area beside Mudgeeraba Creek. Families have taken to it quickly. Bring snacks, arrive early on weekends, and check the shade situation before summer.
