The ferry crossing to get here is half the point. Park Lane sits on Noosa North Shore, a stretch of beach that still feels genuinely removed from the main drag, and that isolation is the whole appeal. It runs as a family holiday park with powered sites, cabins, and a restaurant that reviewers consistently rate as a highlight. The general store is stocked well enough to get you through. Dog-friendly, which matters on this side of the river. The trade-off is infrastructure that hasn't always kept pace with demand: powered sites can stretch a single lead past its limit during peak school holidays, and bore water is the reality here. Book a family cabin over a standard room, and come in the shoulder season if you want the space without the crowd. Thirty years of holiday memories, with a few rough edges still being smoothed out.

We had an incredible time here and cannot recommend it enough. A massive shoutout to the manager, who was absolutely amazing and made us feel welcome from the very first minute. The housekeeping team deserves a lot of credit too—they left our cabin absolutely spotless and immaculate. On top of the great hospitality and clean facilities, the food was a real highlight; everything we tried was of a very high standard and seriously delicious. Perfect spot, top-notch service, and great vibes. We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely stay at Park Lane Big4 Noosa North Shore. After a terrible situation of another Holiday House Big4 Staff helped us out with our last minute Accommodation without any hesitation. The Big4 is well organised, family-friendly, & very welcoming. The Staff provide clear information for everyone to enjoy their stay, & the facilities are very clean & well maintained. The Park feels very safe, with regular patrols & very helpful after-hours support if needed. It’s fantastic that the Place is Dog-friendly,. Parking is easy, & the layout of the whole place made it simple to get around. A relaxing, well-run place with a great atmosphere — perfect for families, couples, & anyone looking for a comfortable & enjoyable stay. We would definitely happily return here.

Noosa Heads QLD
Champagne at check-in, a swim-up bar that earns its nostalgia, and river-view rooms that catch the Noosa sunset. The staff here, particularly Michael at concierge, are the kind that get mentioned by name in reviews. One of Hastings Street's most consistently praised addresses.

Sunshine Beach
Spider the dog, free nachos and sangria nights, and a shuttle to the beach twice a day. Flashpackers runs daily social events that actually work, with clean dorms, AC, and free breakfast. The kind of hostel people extend their stay for.

By March, the summer crowds have gone home, the water is still 26 degrees, and Noosa's best restaurants actually have tables. Add the Food & Wine Festival in May and weather that finally lets you enjoy a walk without melting, and the case for autumn is hard to argue with. Here is everything you need to plan it right.
December arrives and Noosa doubles in population overnight. The car parks fill by 8am, jellyfish follow the north-easterly winds, and every good restaurant needs a booking three weeks out. This is the honest guide to summer in Noosa: where to swim before the crowds arrive, where to eat when the heat peaks, and what to actually expect.
Noosa has a reputation for being expensive, and parts of it are. But the national park is free, the best beaches cost nothing but the walk down, and there are hostels, cafes, and caravan parks that let you do this place properly without the Hastings Street bill. Here is how to spend less and miss nothing.
Most visitors turn left toward Hastings Street. The locals turn right, toward the Noosa River, the riverside dining strip, and a suburb that does not need to perform for tourists. Noosaville is where you eat serious food, paddle flat water at dawn, and find the version of Noosa that residents actually live in.
Noosa in autumn is the sweet spot: warm water, soft light, and crowds that have thinned to the people who actually live here. This is a two-day couples itinerary built around a float session in Noosaville, dinner on the Laguna Bay boardwalk, and the slow Saturday morning the river practically insists on.
We stayed in a glamping tent. It was beautiful. We had a lovely outlook of the bush, the 'room' was clean and beds were comfy. Didee at reception and the other staff went out of their way to make it a really nice family holiday for us. The park has lots of activities for kids but it still felt like we got a nature experience - we appreciated that there wasn't too much concrete and we got to see a few roos and goannas.
We booked for 7 nights in the van park but left early, we were on site 28. The powered sites are all over the place with not enough water and power for the amount of sites. You need double hose and double power lead to plug in. The sites run parallel to the road. Unless you are on the end sites good luck getting in and out. The amenities we cleaned once in the 6 days we were there. The park is very dated. The pool needs repairs. It has bore water only. We had dark brown water go through our van which needed to be flushed out as they had issues with the water. For $87 a night on Friday and Saturday $70+ Sunday and $60+ through the week it is expensive. For a Big4 park I expected better.
We enjoyed our stay at Big4 Noosa North Shore. The Deluxe Powered Site was very roomy however lacked shade. The park itself has lots of amenities and things to do for the kids and it was a big pro that we could bring our dog. The restaurant/pub was great and the cafe had a great selection of food/drinks. Would recommend.
Noosa Heads QLD
A well-located Noosa Heads hostel with a lively pool area, beach volleyball court, and a bar that draws a sociable crowd. The front desk books Fraser Island 4WD trips. Proximity to the beach and Greyhound stop is genuinely useful. Book a smaller dorm if noise is a concern.
