Noosa River Holiday Park
Nooville QLD · Accommodation
(848 reviews)
A waterfront site here puts you close enough to watch kayakers, pelicans, and the occasional paddleboarder from your camp chair, all with Noosa Heads framing the view across the river. This is Noosaville's most centrally placed caravan park, a short walk from the restaurants along Thomas Street and the calm swimming spots along the foreshore. Reviews are consistent on two things: the location is genuinely hard to beat, and peak season brings crowds. The amenities block gets stretched when the park fills up, so aim for shoulder season if you want the river views without the festival-grounds energy. Waterfront sites slope slightly and tree roots make tent pegging a project, so a self-contained van earns its keep here. Book well ahead; spots go fast and the regulars know it.

What People Say
Absolutely gorgeous waterfront sites! I had a lovely stay, clean facilities, spots spaced out nicely. Not super private at the waterfront sites with guests playing next to and in front of the sites on the sand but that is to be expected. Was a bit awkward when other guests were sitting on the embankment less than a metre from my bed in my site (see photo—these are strangers haha) when there was plenty of space on the embankment in the park that didn’t have any campsites, but it was outside the little fence so nothing I could do/not on the holiday park to tell people that’s weird 😅 Regardless, will be returning :)
Well situated but packed like impossible with cars and boats and paddles and children and music. If you like action and people watching it’s the place. If you want space, calm it’s not. The amenities were ok at best but with that much people no wonder it’s not always perfect.
Excellent camp spot overlooking the river, peaceful and with lots of activity on the water - could sit all day and never tire of it! Easy walk to Noosaville. Loved it!
Lovely position on the river! Great location, close to shops , water , restaurants. We were lucky to grab a booking . Facilities are clean and numerous.. It is very quiet considering how close the caravan park is to Noosa , Noosaville. Great spot to bike , fish , swim or just chill.
We were camping at Noosa River Holiday Park this past weekend. The location is excellent however there were definitely some things that were lacking. We would visit again for sure but some small improvements could make the experience much better. This time of year the park is at capacity and consequently the toilet/shower blocks needed more attention than they were receiving. EG. the soap dispenser was empty, paper towels ran out and toilets needed cleaning. The campsites by the river, whilst having a really beautiful outlook, are fairly poor in comparison to the many other camp sites we’ve stayed at, including in the Noosa Shire. They are not on level ground so for those of us who camp a lot, we know how it is when you and your camp mattress keep slipping down a slope to the edge of the tent. Not ideal. There were also exposed trees roots which again make tenting a challenge (remember the fairytale of the princess and the pea - same principle with tree roots 😊). I think that these issues could be rectified fairly easily, perhaps with small timber retaining walls and sand to build up the sites. 🤷♀️ As I wrote above, we would definitely come back as the location is excellent and the river views beautiful. However feedback can be useful, especially if it is acted upon, so this feedback is offered in that spirit. 🙏

Champagne at check-in, a swim-up bar that earns its nostalgia, and river-view rooms that catch the Noosa sunset. The staff here, particularly Michael at concierge, are the kind that get mentioned by name in reviews. One of Hastings Street's most consistently praised addresses.
