Out on Bayshore Drive, away from the tourist drag, North Byron Hotel is the kind of pub that actually serves the people who live here. Expect cold beer at honest prices, a crowd that's more tradie-after-work than festival-wristband, and a no-fuss atmosphere that doesn't require a reservation or a particular outfit. The Bayshore Drive address puts it close to the Arts & Industry Estate, which tells you something about the regulars. With a price point that won't sting, it fills a genuine gap in a town where a round of drinks can feel like a small investment. No reviews to mine yet, but at this price level and in this location, the pitch is straightforward: a local pub doing local pub things, without the Byron Bay markup.

What People Say
What a little hidden gem. The food, team, and service were fantastic. The gardens are beautiful and so well established, and I had the pleasure of meeting the lady who looks after them. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing place to retreat to from the buzz of Byron’s CBD and entertainment area. Thank you for the incredible lunch and experience yesterday (4/2/26). Kindest Regards, Reco
We can here early afternoon with kids. We had such a lovely time, the beautiful atmosphere, the chilled out music and you can bring your dog too. It has been beautifully finished and a great choice of drinks and food. We ordered a slider, prawns with chilli sauce, salad and a margarita pizza and everyone said their meal was delicious.
A fab venue for a casual Saturday lunch with lots of indoor and outdoor areas. They were able to accommodate our group of 12 without a booking. It had a lovely casual resort vibe and the food was yummy. There is a wood fire pizza oven and the pizzas were excellent. I especially loved the mushroom pizza, it was savory and juicy in all the best ways. Great venue for a lazy lunch!
We stopped here after experiencing the Solar Train. It is across the road from the North Station and an easy walk. I loved that there were many areas of choice to sit and have a drink. Outside, inside and even some areas that were alfresco like. Many options of beverages and cocktails. Some of our group played a couple of games of pool whilst we enjoyed some drinks. Very clean and open space and a great location to enjoy a drink. The staff were diligent in making sure you didn't have to wait long to be served.
Such an awesome environment! Kid friendly, amazing food and the family vibes were all there. Kids food came out first and was out within 10 minutes even on a long weekend and peak lunch time. Perfect food, will be back
More Nightlife & Bars in Byron Bay

Stone & Wood Brewery Byron Bay
Byron Bay
The birthplace of Pacific Ale, Stone & Wood's Byron taproom pours fresh from the tank inside the working brewery. Industrial setting, cold beer done right, and a crowd that spans Friday knock-offs to curious out-of-towners tracing the source of their favourite can.

Ember Byron Bay
Byron Bay
A bar on Jonson Street's main drag, Ember is positioned where Byron's nightlife actually happens. Central enough to anchor an evening or extend one. Best assessed on a quieter night when the strip isn't at full volume.

Hotel Brunswick
Brunswick Heads
The pub Brunswick Heads actually drinks at. Cold beer, no-fuss food, and a front bar that hasn't tried to become something else. In a town that's resisted the Byron creep, the Brunswick Hotel is a big part of why.

Casa Luna
Byron Bay
A Latin-inflected bar on Fletcher Street with a name that promises warmth and late nights. It sits in good company on one of Byron's more reliable after-dark strips. Walk in without a plan and see where it takes you.
