Casa Luna
Byron Bay · Nightlife & Bars
(585 reviews)
Fletcher Street after dark has a few reliable options, and Casa Luna sits among them as a neighbourhood bar with a Latin-leaning identity. The name suggests warmth and a certain looseness, the kind of place that leans into low lighting and late hours rather than polished cocktail theatre. Without a deep review trail to draw from, it's hard to call specifics, but the Fletcher Street location puts it within easy walking distance of the town centre, which means it catches both the early-evening crowd and the ones who've already eaten somewhere else. Go in without fixed expectations, order something from the bar, and let the room tell you what kind of night it wants to be. Worth a look if you're already in the neighbourhood.

What People Say
Casa Luna is nothing short of exceptional. We have been going since it opened and it keeps continuing to improve! Every dish felt impeccably considered, carefully curated flavours, beautifully balanced, and executed with the confidence of truly skilled chefs. Each plate told a story, and not a single note was out of place. The service without question, the best I’ve experienced in Byron. Thoughtful, intuitive, and genuinely warm, attention to detail in every interaction elevated the entire evening. From the food to the flow of the night, every element worked in harmony, creating an experience that felt refined yet effortless. Casa Luna isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience done right and we can’t wait to return! 🌙✨
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Byron, I’ve been here lots of times and it never disappoints! The seasonal menus are always super well put together with many tasty options. Yesterday we had a variety of dishes and the flavor combinations in all of them were incredible and the food was perfectly executed 🙌🏼 They also have good gluten free and vegan options and their drinks menu is great, love their cocktails 🌞
A really cool place with a very upscale chic vibe. Would be perfect for couples on a date night. I went to try their Lamb skewers and ended up getting one of their cocktails. The food was delicious and the cocktail entertaing. Lachie behing the bar is a very cool operator who gave me good service and made me the cocktail. The other staff are also very pleasant and hospitable which made the experience for me as a solo traveller very nice. A bit expensive and the portions are small. Do not go if you’re just hungry and want a big feast. But for a date night or just relaxing, very cool place with a beautiful view in the evening. Turns into a club at night!
So happy we picked this place for a cute dinner while in Byron! The vibe was immaculate and we came just in time for Happy Hour. Food and cocktails were also amazing. Our server, Bryan, gave us recommendations throughout the night and we felt very well looked after. We’ll be back!
Great experience from start to finish. The cocktails were amazing, and the service was excellent with really attentive customer care. The atmosphere was perfect, not too busy or loud, so it was easy to enjoy a good chat.

The Balcony Bar & Oyster Co.
Byron Bay
Oysters and cold drinks on a balcony above Lawson Street. This is Byron's raw bar in the most literal sense: elevated, unfussy, and well-positioned for watching the evening unfold below. Mid-range pricing makes it an easy yes for a pre-dinner drink that turns into two.

Ember Byron Bay
Byron Bay
A bar on Jonson Street's main drag, Ember is positioned where Byron's nightlife actually happens. Central enough to anchor an evening or extend one. Best assessed on a quieter night when the strip isn't at full volume.

Beach Hotel, Byron Bay
Byron Bay
Uninterrupted views across Main Beach, cold beers on tap, and a beer garden that fills up fast on Friday afternoons. The Beach Hotel is Byron's reliable big-pub option: broad menu, mid-range prices, and a crowd that runs from post-surf families to long-session locals.

North Byron Hotel
Byron Bay
Away from the main strip on Bayshore Drive, North Byron Hotel is the affordable, unpretentious option for people who actually live here. Cold beer, no dress code, prices that make sense. The kind of pub Byron needs more of.
