Room 626 on level six has runway views on one side and ocean on the other, which tells you everything about what this hotel is doing well. A hundred metres from the terminal, Rydges Gold Coast Airport is built entirely around the logic of not wasting your trip on transit. Check in early, drop your bags, use the pool, eat the breakfast buffet, then walk to the beach in ten minutes or back to the gate in two. The rooftop bar earns repeated mentions from regulars, and the fish and chips from room service have their own fans. Staff are consistently praised across reviews, with the front desk running 24/7. This is not a destination hotel. It is a very good version of exactly what it is.
I recently enjoyed another extended stay at Rydges Gold Coast Airport in room 626. If you love planes and runway views, this is one of the best rooms in the hotel — very spacious, exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. The hotel itself is always spotless, comfortable and welcoming. Reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful throughout my stay. The food was also delicious every time. I’d especially like to mention Dylan from the bar and restaurant area. He brought my lunch to the table with a friendly smile and presented everything very professionally. He is very well presented, polite and provides excellent customer service. A special thank you also to Alan for delivering my room service dinner. Again, the service was professional, friendly and welcoming. The meal was presented very well and delivered with a smile, which really stood out. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel and the service provided by the staff. Highly recommended and I look forward to staying again
Close to a 5 for value, amenities and service. Rooms are super clean and tidy and well organised. Decor beautiful and modern. I'd recommend it for anyone settling in after a long flight or before an early one!

Mermaid Beach
A self-contained family resort anchored by the Splash Zone water park, with one to three-bedroom apartments, an adults-only pool, and The Deck bistro for when nobody wants to cook. Two minutes from Woolworths, a short walk to the beach. Book direct and ask about apartment condition.

Miami
The pool slide earns its own mention in almost every family review. Villas have private BBQs, the Miami Marketta is a seven-minute walk, and buses to Surfers Paradise leave from the doorstep. A practical, affordable base for families who want to be in the middle of everything.

We received such a warm welcome at Rydges despite arriving unexpectedly, and the whole team showed incredible kindness and genuine care throughout our stay. The hotel was spotless, very well maintained, and everything felt clean and carefully looked after, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Also, the staff were absolutely lovely, professional, and truly human, thank you again for your hospitality and support it meant a lot to us.
We had a great stay, made even better by Michelle. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring. Nothing was too much trouble — she went out of her way to help us and made us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. It’s staff like Michelle who really make a difference and turn a stay into a great experience. Thank you so much, Michelle — you’re an absolute asset to the hotel
Stayed at Rydges Gold Coast Airport and overall had a really solid experience. The room itself was great—clean, well presented, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was how quiet it was given the hotel’s proximity to the airport minimal noise disturbance, which made for a good night’s sleep. The location is also a strong plus. It’s just minutes from Coolangatta, so you get easy access to everything there without paying the premium rates you’d typically find staying right in the heart of town. The only downside was the shower, where the water temperature didn’t get warm enough, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, a comfortable and well-located stay at a reasonable price just let down slightly by the shower temperature.
Carrara
A self-contained resort in Carrara with golf course views, a genuinely impressive breakfast buffet, and staff who earn their mentions by name. The pool and jacuzzi are the draw. Skip the dinner menu and eat off-site.
