Twenty-seven years of Christmas bookings tells you something. Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park sits where the creek meets Palm Beach, with cabins right on the water and a kid-friendly creek beach steps from your door. The surf beach is the other direction, the surf club a short stroll further. On-site you get a kiosk, a small general store for essentials, and food trucks rotating through during busy periods. The pool complex draws consistent praise, including a separate adults-only pool. Staff names like Andrew and Scott come up in reviews for good reason. Amenities are a mixed story depending on how busy the park is, so shoulder season rewards the flexible traveller. Book the waterfront cabin if it's available. The creek view at low tide is the reason people keep coming back.
We stayed at a 2 bedroom cabin on the water and wow the view and location is just incredible. Not many other holiday parks quite like this one with quality and clean amenities along with ideal access to a kid friendly beach as well as pool and water play area. The customer service from the staff here, particularly Andrew and Scott, was excellent and they helped to provide timely solutions to some issues we were experiencing in our cabin which was greatly appreciated. Kiosk on site for food as well as a small general store which was really handy for the essentials. You can’t go wrong booking here and we hope to be back one day.
I have been staying at Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park over the Christmas and New Year period for 27 years, staying for 3 - 4 weeks. It truly feels like a second home. The staff are absolutely amazing — always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, which makes every stay even more enjoyable. The amenities are consistently spotless and very well maintained, no matter how busy the park is. The activities organised within the park are fantastic and create such a great community atmosphere, especially during the holiday season. I also love the variety of food trucks that come through at different times — it’s a great touch and something we really look forward to. The location is simply unbeatable. You can walk to the calm waters of Tallebudgera Creek, head the other way to the surf beach, stroll to the surf club, or wander to nearby cafés — everything is right at your doorstep. Everything about this park is fantastic. After nearly three decades of returning year after year, I couldn’t recommend Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park highly enough.

Seventy-five hinterland acres, a chef-hatted restaurant called The Paddock, and a picnic under an old fig tree with Moët. Wallabies outside the cabin window are a genuine possibility. The staff, particularly Natalie at the front desk, are why guests keep coming back.

Bilinga
A ten-minute walk from Gold Coast Airport, this budget YHA in Bilinga is built around one purpose: the early flight. Staff are genuinely helpful, the communal kitchen is spacious, and the private rooms cover the basics. Manage expectations on the facilities and it does the job.

The amenities were disgusting. We stayed 3 weeks, I informed them of a toilet that did not flush and a broken toilet seat, and after 3 weeks still not fixed. The shower heads are so corroded that you need to either dance around or stand against the wall to get wet. I understand you are on the beach and corrosion happens, but so should maintenance. Gutters need clearing so you don’t get soaked from the rain at the bathroom entrance while your entering the code to get in. One plus, you are right on Talle Creek, which is beautiful. Just don’t look behind you to the park, major disappointment. Overall a huge disappointment for the Gold Coast.
Very big but good camping. Enough space and quiet at night. Just beside the palm beach. You can walk 1 km to a shopping street and restaurants in Burleigh. Bought lots of nice things. There is a Woolworth too and a bws for wine. The pools are amazing and there is one for adults which is fantastic. Reception is friendly. I would recommend for location and beach and pools. The amenities are good but in the morning a little dirty with all the sand.
We’ve stayed here a few times usually 2 weeks at a time and have booked to stay again. Great location, great walks, right on the water, great facilities, clean amenities and fabulous staff. Always great to stay here .. pool and shop onsite, bbqs and all the usual things you’d expect. Easy check in as well. Definitely our favourite spot and now we nay live 40 min away but still the perfect holiday
Bilinga
A hundred metres from the terminal, with a rooftop bar, ocean views from level six, and a beach ten minutes on foot. The breakfast buffet is well stocked, the staff are genuinely good, and the pool beats the departure lounge every time.
