On game days, the Mudgeeraba Redbacks AFC turn this Somerset Drive oval into exactly the kind of local footy afternoon that feels increasingly rare on the Gold Coast. The rest of the week, Firth Park is a well-maintained community ground with football fields, netball courts, a skate area, a playground, and enough shady trees to make a picnic genuinely comfortable. It sits at the centre of the old Mudgeeraba village, close enough to the local shops that a post-park coffee is easy. The carpark doubles as a free shuttle hub for Cbus Stadium events, which locals have quietly been using for years. GPS will drop you at the roundabout; turn left at the lights instead. Note: no dogs allowed.
Firth Park is a fantastic community park right in the heart of the historic Mudgeeraba village. It’s a peaceful green space with plenty of large shady trees, open grass areas and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for families, picnics or just sitting back and enjoying the fresh air. The park is well maintained and has a great playground for kids, making it a popular spot for locals. There’s lots of room to kick a ball around or simply enjoy a quiet moment under the trees. Because it’s located in the centre of the village, it’s also an easy place to stop if you’re grabbing a coffee or exploring the local shops nearby. One of the standout things about Firth Park is that it’s the home ground of the Mudgeeraba Redbacks AFC. On game days the place really comes alive with a great community atmosphere as locals gather to support the Redbacks. It adds a strong sporting spirit to the park and shows just how important the space is to the Mudgeeraba community. Whether you’re visiting for a local football match, bringing the kids to the playground, or just looking for a relaxing green space on the Gold Coast, Firth Park is a great spot that really reflects the friendly community feel of Mudgeeraba.
Free parking to catch free shuttle bus to Cbus stadium for events held there. Just remember to get there early for big footy games as this carpark used for football training patrons and other sports as well.

Burleigh Heads
A sheltered bay at the base of Burleigh Headland with no current, good shade, and snorkelling around the rocks. Locals have been coming here for decades. Aim for high tide on the northern beach, park in the side streets, and walk the headland loop after your swim.

Palm Beach
Tallebudgera Creek's sheltered, glassy water makes it the go-to for paddleboarding, sandcastles, and unhurried afternoon swims. Barbecues, a playground, and a café are all on hand. Come early, parking fills fast and the café queue follows shortly after.

Great place to learn how to ride a bike, skateboard or roller stake as it is super smooth and flat. Please respect the area and clean up rubbish. Us locals love our park!
Went down to the Gold Coast for a nrl game. On previous occasions parking for cbus has been horrendous but luckily discovered online about shuttle buses from firth park to cbus. Great discovery!!
The GPS only takes you to the roundabout beside the park.. to enter the park you need to turn left at the lights. There are 2 entrances to the park. The first entrance gives you access to the field and also the front netball courts. The second entrance winds around to the back carpark, where you can access the back courts.
Palm Beach
A pirate ship playground, calm creek swimming, and one of the Gold Coast's best off-leash dog beaches, all in one spot along Currumbin Creek. The sheltered water makes it a go-to for families with young kids when the surf is too wild.
