Glossy black cockatoos show up here if you're patient enough. Sixty-two hectares of bushland and grassy hills in Mudgeeraba, this regional park runs quietly enough on a Sunday that you'll have the sheltered picnic areas largely to yourself. The fenced dog exercise area is the main drawcard for locals, and the forest walk threads through enough contrasting terrain to feel like a proper outing rather than a lap around the block. The fully shaded playground covers the basics well: flying fox, monkey bars, climbing equipment. Three picnic shelters with BBQs and electricity mean it handles a large group without stress. The one-way loop road keeps things orderly, parking is generous, and the toilet block is on-site. Come weekday mornings for the bird life and the quiet.
Beautiful quiet park. Toilets, short trails, playground and dog park. Lovely grassed area. Seats,BBQ and birds.🍃🦜
Excellent park for a large group. 3+ sheltered picnic areas. 1 playground. BBQs. Electricity. Toilet block. Short walking trail. Large grassy area. Some shady trees (but not many). Was there on a Sunday and not at all busy either.
Nice open Park. Very Dog friendly with lots of facilities for the fur babies. Nice forest walk with many contrasting areas. Such a beautiful spot if you love trees and nature.

Mudgeeraba
The Mudgeeraba Redbacks call it home, and on game days it earns that. The rest of the week it's shady ovals, netball courts, a skate area, and a playground in the heart of the old village. Also the Gold Coast's worst-kept secret for free Cbus Stadium shuttle parking.

Palm Beach
A long, sheltered inlet on the Gold Coast where dogs run off-leash and the water stays calm enough for a proper swim. Shade, a nearby cafe, and a cut-through to the open ocean. Parking fills fast on weekends; cross the road and walk two minutes.

I love this park, great big place with nice playground, BBQ, dog exercise erea, lots of car park place, public toilet. Nice place for a picnic and walking.
Love this park, waiting for a visit from a glossy black cockatoo , but the trails are awesome and the bird life is spectacular. Great dog park too
Burleigh Heads
Rainbow lorikeets, ocean views to Burleigh Headland, and free barbecues on the foreshore. Justins Park is where Burleigh locals spend their Sundays. The covered picnic shelters go fast, parking is a genuine challenge, and the beach is patrolled all year.
